Week 1: Computer Lab

Prelab
  1. Understand where to download exercise files (page viii)
  2. Read chapters 1-4 in Autodesk Inventor Essentials Plus.
  3. Complete exercises 1.1 and 1.2. Pay particular attention to working with projects
  4. Complete exercises 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, and 2.4.  Pay particular attention to constraints.  Use as many constraints as possible in your designs (as opposed to dimensions).  This will become increasingly important as your designs grow in complexity.  
  5. Complete exercises 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, and 3.5

Lab
  1. Walk through of 3 parts: file 1, file 2, file 3.
  2. Complete exercises 4.1 through 4.9
Educational Goals
  • Become proficient with making parts in Autodesk Inventor.
